CF&S organized the first direct cargo flights from Tallinn to Tashkent.

CF&S successfully implemented an urgent cargo delivery for a key client from Uzbekistan, taking on the full logistics cycle – from packing the first pallet to loading onto the plane. The cargo was accepted and processed at the company’s warehouse in Estonia, after which it was delivered by land and air to Germany, from where it flew to Tashkent.

EP Logistics International launches new CEREx rail service for Central Europe.

EP Logistics International (EPLI), part of the EPH Group, has announced the launch of a new cross-border rail service, Central European Rail Express (CEREx), which will connect Germany and Hungary via the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The new corridor is designed to provide a stable rail connection between key logistics hubs in Central, Eastern and Western Europe, including countries such as Romania, Serbia, the Netherlands and Belgium.

KTZ Express organized export transportation of industrial goods to the EU via TITR.

KTZ Express has launched the implementation of export multimodal transportation of industrial goods from Almaty to the countries of the European Union along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). Delivery is carried out in 40-foot containers through the key logistics hubs of Almaty – Aktau – Poti, with a final point in the EU. The entire journey takes from 25 to 30 days.

Khorgos strengthens its position as a key railway hub between China, Europe and Central Asia.

Since the beginning of 2025, 4,476 freight trains have passed through the Khorgos railway border crossing on the China-Europe and Central Asia routes, an increase of 26.7% compared to the same period last year. Today, more than 80 routes connecting 18 countries pass through Khorgos. This growth confirms the strategic role of the crossing in the development of international logistics within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

TITR participants agreed on new steps to develop the Trans-Caspian route.

At a meeting in Warsaw, representatives of the countries participating in the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) summed up the work for the first five months of 2025 and discussed key areas for further development of the corridor. Particular attention was paid to the growth of container transportation, digitalization of logistics processes and ensuring sustainable navigation in the Caspian Sea.

Kombiverkehr stabilized the network and ended 2024 with a profit despite falling volumes.

At the end of 2024, Kombiverkehr KG transferred 769,733 road and water transport shipments to rail (-5.6%) and maintained a positive financial result – profit amounted to more than 216 thousand euros. Despite the decline in volumes in Germany and abroad, the company managed to maintain network stability and even increase transportation in a number of directions: in communication with Poland, growth was 46.4%, with France – 13.7%, with Spain – 12.6%. The leading segment remained the southern European route via the Brenner Corridor (215,654 shipments). Total transport work decreased by 6.3% – to 14.89 billion tonne-kilometers.

Turkish ports to increase cargo throughput and container traffic in 2025.

According to the results of January-May 2025, the cargo turnover of Turkish ports increased by 2% compared to the same period last year and reached 230 million tons. In May, the figure increased by 4.7%, amounting to 48.16 million tons. The leaders in terms of the volume of handled cargo were the ports of Aliaga (7.83 million tons), Kocaeli (7.41 million tons), Iskenderun (6.25 million tons), Tekirdag, Ceyhan, Mersin and Ambarli. The ten largest ports accounted for 83.9% of the total monthly volume.

Kazakhstan’s transport sector shows strong growth in 2025.

In the first five months of 2025, 455.9 million tons of cargo were transported in Kazakhstan by all modes of transport, which is 11.9% more than in the same period last year. Rail transport accounted for the largest share – 185.5 million tons (+14.1%), freight turnover amounted to 138.8 billion ton-kilometers (+9.3%). The growth is especially noticeable in the maritime industry: the volume of transportation increased by 43.9%, reaching 1.6 million tons, and freight turnover increased to 747.9 million ton-kilometers (+14.7%).

Container transportation in Ukrainian ports has doubled.

In the first five months of 2025, 78 thousand TEU containers were handled in the seaports of Ukraine, almost twice as much as in the same period of 2024. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development Andriy Kashuba, emphasizing the gradual restoration of the container direction.
