After 15 years of cooperation, logistics company Rhenus and global life sciences leader Merck have implemented an environmentally friendly solution: a B100 biodiesel shuttle between the Merck plant in Molsheim and the Rhenus warehouse in Strasbourg. The project is part of a strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and develop sustainable logistics in the Alsace region.
From July 1, 2025, companies engaged in road transport of goods to and from the port of Livorno will begin to charge customers an additional fee – a port tax. The initiative does not come from the port administration, but from associations of transport companies seeking to compensate for losses caused by long delays at the terminals.
A.P. Moller – Maersk has unveiled the first vessel of the new Berlin Mærsk class of container ships, equipped with a dual-fuel methanol plant. Kazakhstan continues to upgrade its border infrastructure: by the end of 2025, it plans to modernize five more automobile checkpoints. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Bakytzhan Slyamov. We are talking about the Temir Baba checkpoint on the border with Turkmenistan, Kazygurt and Tazhen on the border with Uzbekistan, as well as Maykapchagay and Bakhty in the Chinese direction.
According to the results of 2024, the volume of cargo transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) reached 4.5 million tons, which is 62% more than in 2023. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, noting that the route is becoming increasingly popular against the backdrop of growing trade activity between Asia and Europe.
Stadler Bussnang and Stadler Rheintal have completed their merger, forming a new legal entity – Stadler Rail Schweiz. After the merger is legally completed, both production sites will continue to operate as usual, with the Rheintal plant receiving the status of a branch.
