METRANS has completed the integration of Adria Rail.

As of 1 January 2025, METRANS has completed another stage of the Adria Rail integration, centralising customer service and operational activities of the Rijeka – Belgrade Inđija service at the METRANS /Danubia/ headquarters in Dunajská Streda, Slovakia. Now, the processing of transport orders, management of daily operations and invoicing will be handled by a dedicated team at the company’s headquarters.

KTZ summed up the results of 2024: stability, growth and large-scale projects.

JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy successfully completed 2024, demonstrating stability in cargo transportation and fulfillment of strategic objectives. Cargo turnover reached 272 billion ton-kilometers, container transit increased to 1.4 million TEU, and transportation volumes through Kazakhstan-China joints increased by 12%, reaching 31.8 million tons. Exports from Kazakhstan also showed an increase of 8.8%, amounting to 13.7 million tons.

JSC KTZ presented the Single Digital Window project for freight transportation in Astana.

A strategic session was held in Astana with the participation of the management of JSC NC KTZ, Global DTC Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (China), where the Single Digital Window (SDI) project was presented. This tool is aimed at the complete digitalization of customer service in the field of freight transportation, combining the commercial functions of KTZ subsidiaries into a single digital ecosystem.

Mangistau freight transportation department expands export routes.

The cargo turnover of the Mangystau freight transportation department for 11 months of 2024 increased by 1.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching 6.9 billion ton-kilometers. One of the key achievements was the development of new export routes: for the first time, shipment of ammonium nitrate began through the ports of Aktau and Kuryk along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). This route passes through the Azerbaijani port of Govsan and the Georgian port of Batumi, with plans to ship 50 thousand tons of the product to consumers around the world.
