China Henan Aviation Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudia Cargo to establish a strategic air cargo corridor linking the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. The new agreement builds on China Henan’s experience in establishing a cargo hub in Zhengzhou, making it and Riyadh twin logistics hubs.
The partnership will expand air cargo routes between China and Saudi Arabia, as well as develop digital cargo handling, cross-border e-commerce and sustainable logistics. Additionally, the parties plan to cooperate within economic zones and potentially invest in training, simulation technology and aircraft leasing.
The agreement fits into the strategic initiatives of Saudi Vision 2030 and China’s “Air Silk Road” concept, strengthening the position of both countries in the global air cargo system.
