CLdN announced the launch of a new weekly LoLo container service between the Rotterdam Distriport terminal and the port of Leixões (Porto, Portugal). This decision was made in response to growing customer demand and aims to expand the company’s logistics capabilities on this route.
The new service will complement the existing two weekly return RoRo services between Rotterdam/Zeebrugge and Leixões. Operating container vessels alongside the RoRo fleet on longer routes is part of CLdN’s strategic plan, presented in 2024.
The updated operating model will provide customers with greater flexibility, higher departure frequencies, and further reduce CO2 emissions per unit of cargo transported. The LoLo service is scheduled to launch on Sunday, January 25, with details on the schedule and terminals to be communicated to customers in the coming days.
