In the Kostanay region, over the first nine months of 2024, there has been an increase in container loading by 1,750 units compared to the same period last year, which indicates positive dynamics in the field of freight transportation. According to Kenes Dyusekeyev, head of the logistics department of the branch of KTZ – Freight Transportation LLC, a total of 11,934 fitting platforms (688.5 thousand tons) and 22,755 containers were loaded, among which 365 organized routes were formed.
Also during the specified period, 3,088 fitting platforms with grain crops and 8,236 platforms with milled products were shipped, which corresponds to an increase in the loading of milled products in containers by 67%. In particular, 608 fitting platforms in 1,054 containers with asbestos were sent from the Zhitikara station.
Kenes Dyusekeyev noted that the positive dynamics of cargo transportation volumes is due to the coordinated work of the railway team, including managers and operators. He also emphasized that most cargo is sent to promising regions such as China, Europe and Central Asian countries.
