Craiss is expanding its logistics network in Germany for a major customer in the transport industry.

Craiss Generation Logistik GmbH & Co. KG is opening two new logistics sites in Augsburg and Munich as part of its expansion of cooperation with a leading manufacturer in the mobility sector. The Munich location will be integrated into the customer’s production chain, while the Augsburg location will serve as an external logistics hub with modern warehouses and handling infrastructure. Both locations will reach full operational capacity by the end of 2025, covering a total of 20,000 square meters.

The choice of Augsburg was based on both economic and logistical advantages, including its convenient location near the A8 motorway. The warehouse center ensures just-in-time deliveries of components to Munich via a shuttle system with trailers. The transported items range from small parts to 23-meter-long components for passenger cars and locomotives. To handle such goods, Craiss is investing in specialized warehouse technology and increasing its workforce to 75 employees.

The company has already proven the effectiveness of its model at its site in Ebergassing, Austria, where it manages logistics on an area of more than 40,000 square meters. The new project builds on this successful experience and strengthens Craiss’ strategic role as a reliable partner in production logistics for the rail industry.
