The German-Austrian Brummer Group is now wholly owned by DACHSER and is now part of its European network for the transport and storage of temperature-controlled products. This marks the beginning of the full integration of Brummer into the DACHSER network, which will bring uniform quality standards to customers.
In April, DACHSER announced its intention to acquire Brummer to expand its European food logistics network to Austria and neighboring countries. Following approval from the German and Austrian antitrust authorities, the transaction was completed and work began on integrating Brummer into the DACHSER network. DACHSER acquired Brummer Logistik GmbH in Germany and Brummer Logistic Solutions GmbH & Co KG in Austria, which includes all operational logistics activities of the Brummer Group.
As a full-service logistics provider, Brummer specializes in the transport, warehousing and contract logistics of food products, including frozen products at temperatures below -18 degrees Celsius, in southern Germany and Austria. The group operates more than 300 of its own refrigerated trucks and has 85,000 m² of warehouse space as well as an order fulfillment center in St. Marinkirchen. In 2023, Brummer generated revenues of around 128 million euros. Almost all 950 employees at the two border-crossing sites in Neuburg am Inn (Germany) and St. Marinkirchen (Austria) transferred to DACHSER as part of the deal.
