Logistics company DACHSER closed 2024 with revenue growth of 13%, surpassing the €8 billion mark for the first time, to a final figure of €8.027 billion. This result was achieved through both organic growth (+4.7%) and major acquisitions: DACHSER & FERCAM Italia, Frigoscandia and Brummer are included in the report for the first time. Transport volumes increased by 7.6% to 83.2 million shipments, while tonnage increased by 10.2% to 44.1 million tonnes.
The company recorded record investments of around €490 million in 2024, with additional investments of almost €400 million already planned for 2025. The contract logistics sector saw a major expansion, with 720,000 pallet spaces added and the total number of employees increasing by 3,300. The number of branches also increased by 56.
CEO Burkhard Eling noted that the business could have developed even faster if not for the weak dynamics in Germany and other European countries: high costs, a decline in industrial production and a decrease in consumer activity are hindering growth. Despite this, DACHSER is successfully overcoming global challenges, strengthening its position in the logistics market.
