In the Minervahaven, an overhaul is underway as two fresh waiting berths for inland navigation are set to replace the existing coaster waiting area. These berths cater specifically to vessels without a blue cone, with one jetty accommodating vessels measuring 135/110 meters and the other designed for those of 110/86 meters in length. Notably, both jetties will be outfitted with shore power, with a strict ban on generators.

Simultaneously, the waiting area for inland navigation at the root end of Mercuriushaven is slated for removal. In its place, a brand-new waiting facility tailored for coasters will be constructed. The comprehensive renovation is scheduled to unfold from the third week of October until mid-March 2024. Throughout this period, the berthing availability at the inland navigation waiting spots in the root end of Mercuriushaven will be temporarily suspended. As an alternative, vessels are encouraged to dock at the Houtveemkade in Mercuriushaven, a berth specifically allocated for this interim period without the need for prior reservations.
