The new service connects Freightliner’s operations in the UK, Netherlands, Germany and Poland.
Freightliner PL and Freightliner DE, in cooperation with Rotterdam Rail Feeding (RRF), have launched a regular intermodal freight connection linking the P&O terminal in Rotterdam with the BTT terminal in Rzepin, Poland.

The service, scheduled to run three times a week, provides a direct rail connection for semi-trailers between the Netherlands and western Poland. From Rotterdam, the trains connect directly to ferry services operating between the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Ahead of the inaugural journey, two wagon inspection specialists from RRF traveled to Rzepin to meet their counterparts from Freightliner PL and Freightliner DE. The aim of their visit was to share technical expertise and harmonize operational practices between the teams involved.

This initial Rotterdam–Rzepin rail service is the first fully operated by companies within the Freightliner group along this route. Further expansions of services along this corridor are planned by the operators.

Freightliner PL (Poland), Freightliner DE (Germany), and Rotterdam Rail Feeding (RRF) are all subsidiaries of Freightliner Group Limited, a rail freight and logistics company based in the United Kingdom. Freightliner Group Limited is owned by Brookfield, a Canadian investment management company, and GIC, a Singaporean sovereign wealth fund.
In April 2024, Freightliner separated from Genesee & Wyoming (G&W), becoming a sister company to G&W under the ownership of Brookfield and GIC.
