Gebrüder Weiss has opened a new logistics terminal in Romania.

International transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss has expanded its network in Romania by opening a new logistics terminal in Popești-Leorden, southeast of Bucharest. The investment in the project amounted to 20 million euros. The new facility complements the existing terminal in Bolintin-Dile, allowing for more efficient distribution of goods in the capital region.

The terminal covers an area of approximately 19,000 square meters and includes warehouses, administrative areas and convenient transport links to the port of Constanta and neighboring Bulgaria. Among the terminal’s clients is an international paint manufacturer, for whom Gebrüder Weiss stores 12,000 pallets for distribution throughout the country. In the first half of 2024, 78,000 shipments weighing over 35,000 tons were handled at the new hub.

The opening of the terminal coincided with the company’s 30th anniversary of operations in Romania. During this time, Gebrüder Weiss has built up a network of 13 logistics centres across the country and serves customers in the automotive, technology and consumer goods sectors.
