Founded in 1919, family-owned Heisterkamp Transportation Solutions is expanding its European presence with the opening of a new office in Moldova. Today, the operator manages a fleet of over 800 trucks and 9,000 trailers, employs over 1,300 people, and has offices in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Latvia, and Romania. The company combines road transport, equipment leasing, maintenance, and digital logistics solutions.
According to Country Manager Vincent van der Graaff, the choice of Moldova stems from its growing reputation as a hub of “talent and innovation.” The new office will strengthen the company’s digital capabilities and improve the efficiency of its transportation network management in Europe.
Moldova is actively developing its business processes and IT services sector, offering favorable terms to residents of the Moldova Innovation Technology Park, including a flat 7% tax on turnover, state guarantees until 2035, and the IT Visa program. This makes the country attractive to international companies building data centers and analytics facilities. Heisterkamp expects the Moldovan team to be a key player in developing digital solutions for route optimization, fleet management, and customer service across Europe.
