Hydrogen Pact: Belgium, Netherlands, Germany.

The Belgian Hydrogen Council (BHC), NLHydrogen (NLH), and the German National Hydrogen Council (Nationaler Wasserstoffrat, NWR) solidified their commitment to advancing the hydrogen economy in North-West Europe by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

This agreement, rooted in the longstanding cooperation among Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany, aims to foster collaboration across industries, governments, academia, research institutes, and civil society to drive innovation and sustainability in the hydrogen sector.

Key objectives of the MOU include promoting collaborative publications, encouraging the widespread adoption of hydrogen technologies, and integrating hydrogen into the renewable energy landscape in alignment with European policies like RED II/III (Renewable Energy Directive II/III). By prioritizing seamless cross-border cooperation, the parties anticipate maximizing the impact of hydrogen initiatives on a regional scale.

The MOU outlines various activities to be undertaken, including information exchange, joint meetings, workshops, collaborative events, and unified communication efforts.
