In the Kostanay region, the volume of container transportation has increased significantly in the first seven months of 2024. According to KTZ – Freight Transportation LLC, the number of loaded containers increased by 516 units compared to the same period last year, reaching 8,273 container platforms. This year, 250 organized routes were formed, which ensured an increase in loading by 3.4%, or 10.7 thousand tons.
The main cargo includes grain crops, asbestos and milled products. Grain crops were shipped in 2,249 container platforms in 4,403 containers, asbestos – 413 platforms in 698 containers. Milled products make up the largest share of transportation – 5,610 platforms in 10,748 containers, which is 36% more than last year.
Head of the branch logistics department Kenes Dyusekeyev noted that container transportation is the most promising direction for the development of the transport industry, ensuring fast and reliable delivery of goods.
