Japan Airlines (JAL) has introduced a new logistics service, “J Solutions Pharma Cells,” specifically designed for the rapidly growing regenerative medicine industry. The service provides fast and highly controlled transportation of living and cryopreserved cells, including those for induced pluripotent stem cell (IPS) therapies.

The service is already available at Narita, Haneda and Kansai airports, with the ability to pick up cargo 90 minutes before departure and deliver within 90 minutes of arrival, which is essential for biomedical cargo that requires temperature control and high-speed handling. JAL utilizes CEIV Pharma-certified infrastructure and strict pollution prevention measures to ensure reliable transportation.

With the cell therapy market in Japan expected to grow more than tenfold in the next decade, Japan Airlines aims to become a leading logistics partner for biomedical cell technology companies and expand its network across the country.
