Japan will help Central Asia create a trade route bypassing Russia.

Japan will provide economic assistance to Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries aimed at creating a trade route bypassing Russia. This will be announced by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida during his visit to Kazakhstan, which will take place from August 9 to 12.

During the diplomatic trip, Kishida will meet with the leaders of five Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia. According to The Japan Times, the Japanese government plans to strengthen economic ties with Kazakhstan and other countries in the region, weakening the influence of China and Russia. As part of this visit, Kishida will present a package of economic support aimed at developing new trade routes and helping to decarbonize the economy.

Japan will offer technology and loans to develop the production and processing of natural gas, helping Central Asian countries reduce their dependence on coal. In exchange, these countries will send skilled labor to Japan. All these measures will be reflected in a joint statement following the six-party summit in Kazakhstan.
