Poland launches mega-project CPK: next generation transport hub.

By 2032, Poland is preparing to open one of Europe’s largest infrastructure projects – the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK), located 40 km west of Warsaw. This ambitious project combines a modern airport with an initial passenger capacity of 40 million people, with the prospect of expanding to 100 million, a high-speed rail network and new road connections. The airport includes two 3.8 km long runways located 2.5 km apart, as well as a central terminal connected to the railway station and bus station.

JINGDONG Logistics launched the first cargo airline from Wuhu to Vietnam.

JINGDONG Logistics (JD Logistics) has launched its first direct cargo air service between Wuhu, China and Hanoi, Vietnam. The new route is an important addition to the company’s existing network in Southeast Asia, which already covers routes from Shenzhen to Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. The flights will operate 2-3 times a week with a cargo capacity of up to 20 tons, mainly for the transportation of garments, home appliances, furniture and mechanical parts from East and Central China, as well as for the import of Vietnamese products to China.

Belgorod-Dnestrovsky port is preparing to launch a transit route to the EU via Moldova and Romania.

By the end of 2025, the Belgorod-Dnistrovsky port plans to begin shipping transit cargo from Asia to the European Union via a new railway route through Moldova and Romania. According to Igor Bilyk, First Deputy Director of the port, the route to the Romanian city of Galati is 320 km long, of which 182 km pass through Ukraine, 129 km through Moldova and 9 km through Romania.

LTG Infra expands Rail Baltica construction in Lithuania: new tender starts on Berčiūnai – Joniškielis section.

LTG Infra, the infrastructure division of the Lithuanian railway group LTG, has announced a new tender for the construction of embankments and engineering structures on the Berčiūnai – Joniškielis section. This 12.4 km long section will be part of the large-scale Rail Baltica project, the goal of which is to build 114 km of high-speed railway in Lithuania by 2025.

Kuryk Port Expands Cooperation with China at the First Kazakhstan-China Transport Forum.

The first Kazakhstan-China transport forum was held in Astana, bringing together more than 300 representatives of the business community and logistics companies of both countries. The key event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Kazakh port of Kuryk and the SPG group of ports of Qingdao.

Kazakhstan opens its skies: new international flights from Kazakhstani airlines starting in May.

Since May 2025, Kazakhstan is expanding its flight geography: the country’s airlines are launching new routes to ten countries, including Germany, Hungary, China, Korea, Turkey, Vietnam and others. The basis for international expansion is formed by carriers SCAT, Air Astana and Fly Arystan, as well as foreign partners. The main growth point was Shymkent Airport, from where SCAT will open flights to Budapest, Munich, Shanghai and Seoul twice a week.

Port of Gdansk at the ESPO conference: security, sustainability and plans for the future.

One of the most important events in the European port industry, the 21st Conference of the European Sea Ports Organization (ESPO), was held in the Greek city of Thessaloniki. Against the backdrop of the aggravation of the geopolitical situation, the key topic of the meeting was the future of ports in an unstable environment. The Port of Gdansk actively participated in the discussions, emphasizing the strategic importance of seaports in ensuring the economic, energy and military stability of Europe.

LTG Infra has introduced a unique ecoduct on Rail Baltica in Lithuania – animals have already started using it.

The first movement of wild animals through an underground ecoduct has been recorded on the Switzerland–Žeimiai section in Lithuania, where the construction of the Rail Baltica high-speed railway line is nearing completion. According to environmentalists, this is one of the most modern solutions of this type in the country. The facility is located under a viaduct next to a broad-gauge railway and the 144 Jonava–Kėdainiai–Šiaduva highway. LTG Infra, the infrastructure operator of the LTG Group, regularly monitors fauna at construction sites.

Polish ports reduced cargo turnover in 2024, with growth only in Swinoujscie and Police.

According to the Central Statistical Office of Poland, the total cargo turnover of the country’s seaports in 2024 decreased by 8.9% compared to the previous year and amounted to 124.2 million tons. The decline was recorded in almost all key areas, including dry bulk cargo and container shipping. The exception was liquid cargo, the volume of which increased by 3.8% – to 55.13 million tons, of which 47.64 million tons were crude oil and oil products.
