Ellerman City Liners has resumed its iPEX 2 service between Poland and the UK.

Shipping company Ellerman City Liners announced the relaunch of its iPEX 2 service with an updated rotation between the Port of Gdynia – Port of Hull – Gdynia. This updated route is designed to strengthen direct short-sea connections between Poland and the UK, as well as offer more flexible freight solutions across Europe. The service offers fast transhipment options to Portugal, expanding multimodal logistics options for customers.

Sinotruk has begun truck production in Austria at the Steyr Automotive plant.

Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer Sinotruk has launched truck production at its Steyr Automotive facility in Steyr, Austria. The project is being implemented under a contract manufacturing agreement, the launch of which was announced on March 3. The first truck was assembled on the day of the launch. The Austrian plant plans to manufacture various truck models – both diesel and fully electric – targeted for markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Duisburg hosted a record-breaking event in the “Port meets mainland” series.

The first event of the “Port meets mainland” series, organized by JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven in collaboration with industry partners, took place in Duisburg, Germany, this year. PKP Intercity plans to build a new depot for servicing wagons in Białystok.

Polish passenger operator PKP Intercity has announced plans to transform an existing railcar storage area in Białystok into a fully-fledged rolling stock maintenance and repair depot. The company expects to complete the project within 18 months of contract signing. Bids will be accepted until March 27, 2026.

KTZ Express continues to implement major infrastructure projects aimed at creating a new architecture for international transportation in Kazakhstan. As Asem Mukhamediyeva, Managing Director for New Projects and Marketing, noted that key areas remain the development of dry ports and terminals at hubs along international routes, as well as the creation of a container hub at the port of Aktau. These projects are designed to improve the sustainability, speed, and scalability of logistics services. One of the strategic facilities remains the Khorgos Gateway dry port on the border with China, which plays a vital role in handling cargo flows between China, Central Asia, and Europe.
