The Rail Baltica project has moved to the next stage: Rail Baltic Estonia has signed a contract with INF Infra for the construction of an 8.65-kilometre section of the main route between Kangrū and Saku in Harju County. ASCO has presented a detailed plan for fleet decarbonization in line with the updated International Maritime Organization (IMO) Strategy for Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions. As part of the first stage, scheduled for 2024-2027, ASCO will decommission 65 obsolete vessels and commission 17 new, energy-efficient ships. These measures will reduce the company’s emissions by 25%, and the use of ships with greater cargo capacity and fuel efficiency will reduce them by another 9%.

Estonian state-owned enterprise Tallinna Sadam reported revenue of 90.8 million euros for January-September 2024, up 2.5% year-on-year. The company’s net profit increased by 14.1% to 14.9 million euros, while EBITDA reached 41 million euros (+5.4%).
