The project is scheduled to start in 2025 and be operational by mid-2027. It is part of a wider effort to expand rail freight capacity and support sustainable logistics at the port.
The Ministers of Agriculture of Ukraine and Hungary discussed the prospects of creating an agro-industrial hub for processing, packaging and transshipment of Ukrainian products on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. The construction of the new 17.1-kilometer section of the Rail Baltica railway project continues in Lithuania. LTG Infra has signed a contract with the Czech Eurovia CZ and its Lithuanian partner Eurovia Lietuva for the work worth almost 98 million euros. This stage includes the construction of an embankment, engineering structures and local roads on the Šeta-Ramygala section.
The new Duisburg Gateway Terminal (DGT) has been officially opened in the Port of Duisburg, which will be the largest inland container terminal in Europe. The first construction phase has been completed and the terminal is already operational.

These tests are aimed at final preparation for test sailings and subsequent approval for operation.
Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Rovshan Rustamov took part in discussions at the Climate Action Week in Baku, where he spoke about the steps being taken to combat climate change. He noted that by 2050, the company plans to reduce carbon emissions by 40%, actively expanding the use of renewable energy sources such as solar panels. Last year, Azerbaijan Railways already reduced emissions by 9%.
A delegation of leading Dutch companies visited Port Kuryk LLP as part of the trade mission “Port Development and Logistics” organized by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kazakhstan and the Netherlands Agency for Enterprise. The visit was aimed at familiarizing themselves with the port of Kuryk, which is an important part of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).
The project will modernize key processes, including freight operations, asset maintenance, and investment planning.
