A meeting between representatives of the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and the Rail Baltica project’s implementing organizations took place in Vilnius. Following the talks, project coordinator RB Rail AS signed a new grant agreement for the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program in the amount of €295.5 million. The funds will be used to continue construction and technical work in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania: €47.1 million to Estonia, €153.5 million to Latvia, and €94.9 million to Lithuania.

DB Cargo Polska signed a joint letter of intent with Alstom to establish a new locomotive service center in Rybnik. According to Marek Staszek, CEO of DB Cargo Polska, the project demonstrates the strengthening of international cooperation and Poland’s growing role on the European railway map.
JSC National Company Food Contract Corporation and China’s Shandong Hi-Speed Qilu Eurasia Railway Express Co. Ltd. signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing the supply of grain, feed, and oilseed crops from Kazakhstan to China. The parties agreed to develop exports, including through contract farming, whereby crops are purchased from farmers during the sowing season.
