The management of the Swedish engineering and design company Tyréns and its Lithuanian branch visited the Rail Baltica construction sites in Lithuania, where they met with representatives of LTG Infra, the company implementing the project. The discussion focused on current and planned work, as well as the need to attract international designers to speed up the construction of railway sections.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Port of Rotterdam have signed an agreement to expand their partnership within the Green and Digital Shipping Corridor, launched in 2022. Since then, the initiative has brought together 28 container logistics players, promoting the use of sustainable fuels along the 15,000-kilometre route and implementing digital solutions. By 2030, the corridor aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from large container ships by 20-30% and accelerate the transition to paperless documentation.
Cirro Fulfillment is strengthening its presence in Europe with the opening of two new fulfillment centers in Spain and Italy. Since January, a 10,000 m² Breeam “Excellent” certified warehouse has been in operation in Madrid. Located in Villaverde, it offers easy access to major transport routes.
The first charging station for battery-powered trains in the Baltics will be built in the Lithuanian city of Varena. The design and installation of the EUR 3.2 million facility will be carried out by UAB Fima under a contract with LTG Infra. The construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026.

Despite global challenges, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) recorded growth in its financial performance in 2024. Group revenue increased by 10.5% to EUR 1.6 billion, while operating profit (EBIT) increased by 22.7% to EUR 134.3 million. Logistics company Emons has announced the acquisition of a strategic stake in the LDB Group, with retroactive effect from 1 January. The German operator, based in Baden, unites the companies LDB Logistik and LDB Transport and has around 100 employees. The management of the business will remain with the current CEO Thorsten Felmoser.
Aviator Airport Alliance, part of the Avia Solutions Group, has extended its contract with DHL for ground handling at six airports in Northern Europe. The new agreement, effective 1 February 2025, is for three years and continues more than a decade of cooperation between the companies.
