Azerbaijan and Georgia have created a joint venture, BTKI Railways LLC, founded by subsidiaries Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and Marabda-Kartsakhi Railway LLC. The design of the Iecava service point of the Rail Baltica mainline has been completed and has received final approval from the State Railway Technical Inspectorate. This facility will be a key base for logistics and construction of the mainline connecting Riga with the Lithuanian border.

In the first half of 2024, the total cargo turnover of Polish seaports decreased by 8.7%, amounting to 67.75 million tons. The port of Szczecin-Świnoujście handled 15.9 million tons of cargo, which is 12% less than in the same period of 2023. The main decline is due to a sharp decrease in coal transshipment by 67%, to 618 thousand tons.

A Polish delegation visited the Belgorod-Dnistrovsky Commercial Sea Port, considering the possibility of participating in its privatization. This information was confirmed by the former Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Viktor Dovgan, noting that this could be a promising Polish investment in the Black Sea region.
