Four international consortiums have submitted updated bids for the Rail Baltica project.

RB Rail AS has received updated tender proposals from four bidders for the Rail Baltica project. Participants include Hitachi Rail GTS Deutschland GmbH from Germany, as well as the SKGN Baltics consortium, which includes Siemens Mobility OY Latvian Branch, Siemens Mobility GmbH, GRK Suomi OY, NRC Group Finland OY, and Kontron Transportation GmbH, representing Latvia, Germany, Finland, and Austria.

Construction of a multimodal cargo terminal has begun at the port of Dunkirk.

Construction has begun on a multimodal freight terminal in the northern French port city of Dunkirk, developed jointly by the Port of Dunkirk and Modalis Group. The project is estimated to cost €25 million, with commissioning scheduled for spring 2026. The new terminal will be part of a strategy to develop sustainable and intermodal transport in the region.

Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and the EU have agreed to develop the Black Sea – Aegean Sea corridor.

Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, and the European Union signed a cooperation agreement to create and develop the Black Sea–Aegean Sea cross-border transport corridor. The project envisages the development of a north–south route in southwestern Europe using inland waterways, primarily the Danube River, rail and road infrastructure, sea and air ports, and multimodal terminals. The new route will become part of the TEN-T trans-European transport network.

Lineas and FS Logistix have launched the Modalink joint venture in the Port of Antwerp.

CPK is promoting the construction of the Warsaw-Lodz high-speed railway as a key section of the Y line.

CPK has received a location solution for a nearly 1-kilometer-long high-speed rail section in western Warsaw, part of which will run through a tunnel in the Warszawa Zachodnia area. This section is of strategic importance, as it will serve as an exit from the capital toward CPK Airport and Łódź, where construction of a long outer tunnel is already underway. The Warsaw-Łódź line is part of the “Y” trunk line of the high-speed rail network, the implementation of which is being coordinated by CPK.
