PSA Singapore (PSA) and Evergreen Marine Corporation (EMC) have announced a joint venture in Singapore to improve the efficiency of container operations and strengthen their collaboration. The new terminal will be operational by the end of 2024, providing EMC with long-term capacity guarantees for its growing fleet.
HPC Hamburg Port Consulting, together with Prodevelop and Plisk Consulting, announced the completion of the audit of the National Maritime Single Window (MSW) system in Georgia. This innovative digital platform, compliant with the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), has become a key step in the modernization of the country’s logistics. The vessel “Zhen Hua 27” arrived in the Port of Hamburg, delivering new container cranes for the Burchardkai Terminal (CTB). Until November 23, the vessel remained at the Athabaskakai berth for preparation for unloading, after which the cranes were installed at berths 1 and 2. Completion of installation is scheduled for the end of November, and commissioning is scheduled for early 2025.

Dredging work has been completed in the port of Kuryk in a record short time. Thanks to these measures, the depth of the water area and the approach channel of the port is now from seven to eight meters, which allows for an increase in the passage draft of ships and ensures their full loading. The work was carried out by the general contractor, Jan De Nul Kazakhstan LLP, using the Vesalius dredger, removing more than 990 thousand cubic meters of soil.
The container ship Maersk Halifax has become the first large vessel in the industry to be converted to run on methanol. The conversion took 88 days at the Zhoushan Xinya shipyard in China and was completed at the end of October 2024.
The Port of Tallinn and JetGas have signed an agreement to establish a liquefied methane terminal in the Port of Muuga. The project involves the staged construction of five methane storage tanks and a connecting pipeline to the berth. The first stage, including the construction of one tank, is planned to be completed by the end of 2027, and the entire complex no later than 2030.
