The leadership of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China has decided to allocate 1 billion yuan (137.3 million dollars) for the construction of a transport and logistics hub in Kazakhstan. The parties noted the record growth in rail transportation between the countries – in 2024, the volume reached 32 million tons.

The 87th session of the UNECE Inland Transport Committee (ITC) was held in Geneva, which became key in the implementation of the Strategy until 2030. The event was attended by representatives of more than 20 countries, including Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, EU countries, as well as international organizations and businesses. The main topics of discussion were transport policy, economic cooperation and sustainable development of the industry.
