Yusen Logistics (UK) and SEGRO, major players in the logistics and warehouse development sectors, are spearheading innovation with their collaborative warehouse project at SEGRO Logistics Park Northampton. Anticipated as Yusen Logistics’ largest new build venture, the groundbreaking ceremony is slated for early 2024, with full operational capabilities expected by summer 2025. With a substantial £280m investment, the 1,191,000 sq ft facility aims to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating, committing to carbon neutrality during construction and an annual reduction of 418 tCO2e in scope 1 and 498 tCO2e in scope 2.

During the teleconference, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, took part in the opening of the Transport and Logistics Center in the city of Xi’an. The European Commission has granted approval for state aid amounting to €6.9 billion from seven member states to support the third Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) in the hydrogen value chain. The IPCEI, named “Hy2Infra,” aims to enhance renewable hydrogen supply, reducing reliance on natural gas and aligning with the goals of the European Green Deal and the REPowerEU Plan.
