CRCT Kazakhstan: Assessment and prospects of the Caspian route

From December 3 to December 10, 2023, Hao Guochi, General Director of International Logistics CRCT Kazakhstan, and his team traveled to Azerbaijan and Georgia to assess the effectiveness of the Caspian route. Launched in 2017, this 11,000-kilometer transport route currently has a capacity of 6 million tons per year, with plans to reach 10 million tons per year by 2025. In 2022, cargo traffic along the route increased 2.5 times, reaching 1.48 million tons.

KAZLOGISTICS and Lithuania strengthen cooperation

General Director of STK KAZLOGISTICS Erlan Absatov met with the Ambassador of Lithuania to Kazakhstan, Egidius Navis, to discuss key issues, including the upcoming intergovernmental commission and the activities of the Kazakh-Lithuanian Business Council. The agreement signed in 2022 between the Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan and the Confederation of Industrialists of Lithuania implies the strengthening of Kazakh-Lithuanian cooperation.

The EU has approved funding for the expansion of the multimodal hub of the port of Szczecin

The European Union, through the CEF2027 program, has approved partial funding for the development of a multimodal railway transshipment hub in the port of Szczecin at Ostrów Grabowski. The Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority secured the CEF-T-2023-MILMOB-WORKS grant, covering 50% of eligible investment costs, totaling EUR 4,351,923.86 or PLN 19,583,653. The overall project cost is EUR 8,975,539.99, equivalent to PLN 40,389,000, with eligible costs valued at EUR 8,703,847.71.

Gebrüder Weiss prepares for Mars Analog Mission AMADEE-24 as official logistics partner

KTZ Express strengthens logistics ties with leading Chinese companies

During his January visit to China D.M. Kozhakhmetov, Acting General Director of KTZ Express JSC, sponsor of a number of key documents aimed at in-depth cooperation and strengthening logistics ties with leading transport and logistics companies in China. One of the important agreements was a partnership with the largest logistics company China Logistics Group, focused on rail and road transportation, as well as managing a network of logistics hubs in all provinces of China. The agreement is focused on the development of transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) and includes agreements on information systems. In addition, a memorandum on Singapore was signed with the leading logistics company in Jiangsu Province, Jiangsu International Rail Freight Express, with a focus on developing a multimodal service combining rail and air transportation along the Lianyungang – Almaty – Istanbul route.

“KAZLOGISTICS” leads successful business trip to China, sealing agreements worth over $89 million

From January 22-26, KAZLOGISTICS orchestrated a productive business trip to China in collaboration with the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing. The delegation engaged in a comprehensive agenda in Beijing, including meetings with the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and the Supply Chain Group. In Lianyungang, a strategic memorandum of cooperation was signed between KAZLOGISTICS and the International Freight Railway Express Alliance, following discussions with the Port Group Lianyungang and a visit to the Sino-Kazakh Logistics Cooperation Base. The delegation continued its journey in Qingdao, holding discussions with the prominent logistics company WORLD JAGUAR LOGISTICS and exploring the Central Asian Goods Exhibition Center in the SCO zone.

Project “Social Partnership” with STK “KAZLOGISTICS”: Evaluation of results and preparation for audit in Astana

The meeting of the coordinators of the Social Partnership project and a representative of the industry partner – STC “KAZLOGISTICS” in Astana on January 25 focused on analyzing the results of the project for 2023 and preparing for the upcoming audit in June. Key points were discussed, including the achievement of project indicators, prospects for continuation in the next stages, participation in events in Bishkek and Astana, as well as the development of a set of documents on social partnership for KAZLOGISTICS members. There are also plans to prepare a video meeting on cooperation between IBU+IHK+KAZLOGISTICS on February 22.
