Poland plans to create the largest logistics hub in Europe based on the railway terminal in Slawków. This was announced by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, emphasizing that after the end of the war in Ukraine, this hub will become a key center for transshipment of goods from Asia, including China. The government pays special attention to maintaining Polish control over the strategic facility.

MAN Truck & Bus and the Austrian logistics company Gartner have signed a new framework agreement for the supply of up to 1,200 MAN TGX tractor units with a view to 2028. The cooperation has been going on for more than 50 years, and deliveries under the new contract will start in the summer of 2025 and can reach up to 350 vehicles per year.

According to the report of the International Union of Combined Rail and Road Transport (UIRR), in 2024, the volume of multimodal freight transport in Europe increased by 5.19% compared to the previous year, while freight turnover in tonne-kilometers grew by 8.41%. Belgorod-Dnistrovsky Sea Port signed a memorandum with APM Terminals Poti, the operator of the largest seaport in Georgia and a division of the global logistics company Maersk. This is the first such agreement of the Ukrainian port, aimed at developing cooperation within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), also known as the Middle Corridor.
In the first quarter of 2025, German air cargo terminals handled 434,182 tonnes of air freight – almost as much as in the same period last year. However, the number of employees fell by 3.5% compared to 2024 and by 5.5% compared to the previous quarter, according to the Association of German Air Cargo Operators (Vacad).
