Logistics company Cobantur Boltas has launched a new rail route between Munich (Germany) and Halkali (Turkey). The first corporate freight train is being organised in cooperation with long-standing partner Kombiverkehr. Initially, it will run once a week in both directions, but a second route is already being considered.
The Port of Antwerp-Bruges is taking the next step in expanding the Maritime Logistics Zone in Zeebrugge by offering investors 8.5 hectares of strategically located land. Under the motto “Grow your project at the gates of Europe”, the port has launched a tender for national and international companies involved in the distribution and logistics of perishable and fast-moving goods.
The Port of Klaipeda continues to implement its strategy to become a leading hub for port services, maritime industry and green energy. Over the next four years, the port administration will allocate 308 million euros for infrastructure modernization, business development and environmentally friendly technologies. Hungary has begun construction of its own terminal, Adria Port, in the Italian port of Trieste on the Adriatic coast. The new facility will be a key point for the transshipment of Hungarian export cargo and is scheduled to be fully operational in 2028. The first stage of the work will be the construction of a seawall and the creation of a 250-meter-long berthing line, which will later be extended by another 400 meters.

The first train, which departed on February 10, 2024 from Tuanjiecun Station (Chongqing City, PRC), delivered 55 containers with telecommunications equipment.
BLG Logistics and Cosco Shipping Car Carriers have entered into a strategic partnership to develop automotive logistics between China and Europe. Under the agreement, BLG AutoTerminal Bremerhaven will become a key port for Cosco in Germany, as well as a logistics hub for Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltic region. Cosco plans to include Bremerhaven in a regular liner service with at least two calls per month, while BLG will provide efficient solutions for importers with its extensive land network.
