At the Dostyk station, at the Dostyk-Alashankou junction, new heights have been achieved in the transportation of goods on a narrow gauge. A record number of export trains, consisting of 796 wagons, delivered 45,767 tons of cargo on the 1520 mm gauge. The station also successfully handled 18 trains, 923 wagons, and transported 13,992 tons of cargo on the 1435 mm gauge. This success became possible thanks to the excellent organization of shunting work and the joint efforts of railway workers and specialists from KTZ-Freight Transportation LLP.
The LUKA.DT project concluded in March after a successful two-year collaboration among six consortium partners, including Luka Koper, Actual IT, Emigma, Špica International, Igea, and Solvesall. Baltic Ground Services (BGS), a global leader in ground handling and logistics, has announced the extension of its service agreement with Turkish Cargo for another three years. This renewal underscores the longstanding partnership between BGS and Turkish Cargo, the air cargo arm of Turkish Airlines, dating back to 2013 when BGS commenced operations in Vilnius.
KTZ Express, in collaboration with the Pakistani company National Logistics Cell, has launched a new pilot project of a multimodal export route from Kazakhstan to the UAE. This route passes through Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and then the cargo is delivered by sea to the port of Jebel Ali.
