Logistics company Gebrüder Weiss has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Istanbul-based Sienzi Lojistik, a specialist in bonded warehousing. The deal, which is expected to close in January 2026 subject to regulatory approval, will expand the company’s service capabilities and strengthen the Istanbul hub as a key hub for international supply chains. The company will continue to operate under the brand name Sienzi Lojistik – a Company of Gebrüder Weiss, with current Managing Director Murat Doğan remaining as a co-owner of the business.
According to Gebrüder Weiss CEO Wolfram Senger-Weiss, the integration of the partner’s expertise in the field of bonded warehousing will enable it to offer customers comprehensive and flexible logistics solutions. Murat Doğan, Vice President of the Turkish Bonded Warehouse Association, noted that the cooperation with one of the oldest players in the industry will give the company new competitive advantages and strengthen Turkey’s role in international trade.
Sienzi Lojistik has been operating since 2007 and operates a modern complex next to the Muratbey customs office, one of the largest in the country. Its infrastructure includes a 6,000 m² indoor customs warehouse, open storage areas, a 5,000-pallet high-bay warehouse and 15,000 m² open logistics space. This will expand the capacity of the Istanbul hub to serve textile and industrial customers, while the city’s strategic location at the crossroads of Europe and Asia will provide significant growth potential for Gebrüder Weiss.
