According to the results of the first half of 2025, the three largest seaports in Poland handled 68.5 million tons of cargo, which is 1% more than a year earlier. The main driver of growth was the Szczecin-Świnoujście port complex, where the transshipment of oil cargo increased by 25% – from 3.8 to 4.7 million tons.
The port of Gdansk, the largest in the country, accounted for more than half of the total cargo turnover – over 38 million tons, which is comparable to the results of last year. At the same time, Gdynia recorded a 5% decrease in volumes, mainly due to a decrease in grain transshipment by 1.1 million tons, as well as a drop in almost all types of cargo, except coal and general cargo.
In total, Polish ports handled about 25 million tons of oil and oil products (-1.5%), grain transshipment decreased by a third – from 6 to 4 million tons, and coal volumes decreased by 8% (-360 thousand tons), mainly in Gdansk.
