KTZ Express strengthens Kazakhstan’s role in the development of the Trans-Caspian route.

KTZ Express CEO Daniyar Kozhakhmetov spoke to EuroNews about Kazakhstan’s strategic role in the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), connecting China and Europe via the Caspian Sea and the Caucasus. The focus is on the modernization of logistics infrastructure and the creation of the largest container hub in the Caspian Sea in the port of Aktau with a capacity of 240,000 TEU per year, implemented with the participation of KTZ Express.

The company is betting on digitalization and automation of processes. In an interview, Kozhakhmetov emphasized that the introduction of an automated terminal management system, modern ZPMC cranes and the Tez Customs platform has reduced customs clearance time from 8 hours to 30 minutes, which has already proven its effectiveness at key border points.

As part of the expansion of the multimodal network, KTZ Express is also investing in the construction of terminals in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Hungary. These steps aim to provide a seamless service from China to Europe and are in line with the EU’s aim to reduce transit times to 15 days.
