In the first half of 2025 (January-June), Ukrainian seaports handled 96,298 TEU, the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine (AMEU) reports. Despite military actions, shelling and global logistical challenges, container turnover continues to grow.
The port of Chornomorsk showed the greatest activity: it accounted for 33,675 TEU of export and 31,703 TEU of import containers. The port of Odessa handled 15,041 TEU for export and 12,771 TEU for import. The port of Reni received 21 TEU for import. The entire transit flow (3,087 TEU) passed mainly through Odessa – 3,079 TEU, the rest – through Chornomorsk.
It was previously reported that in July 2025, the port of Chornomorsk was the first among Ukrainian ports to receive a liner container ship, which was an important step in restoring regular shipping.
