According to the results of the first five months of 2025, the volume of railway transportation between Kazakhstan and China reached 14.2 million tons, which is 11% more than in the same period last year. Exports from Kazakhstan to China amounted to 9 million tons, which is 12% higher than last year. These results were possible due to the well-coordinated interaction between the railway administrations of the two countries and stable demand for export and transit transportation in the direction of China.
Border stations remain key growth points: 6.5 million tons (+22%) were transported through Altynkol, 7.7 million tons (+3%) through Dostyk. The steady growth demonstrates the growing importance of these crossings in ensuring cargo flow and stability of logistics chains on the China-Central Asia route.
