The 100,000th container (in TEU equivalent) was sent from Xi’an, China, as part of a freight train along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). The train included 50 containers with electronics, furniture and consumer goods.
The anniversary shipment was the result of successful cooperation between JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, China Railways and the logistics group of the port of Xi’an. Since the start of operations in February 2024, the Kazakhstan-China terminal in Xi’an has already handled over 200 thousand tons of cargo, strengthening its position as an important logistics hub in international trade.
This figure confirms the high demand for transportation along the TITR and the effectiveness of interaction between the logistics partners of the two countries, contributing to the development of sustainable routes between China, Kazakhstan and European countries.
