Nippon Express (Belgium) NV/SA, part of the NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS group, opened a new logistics hub on May 16 at Brucargo Central in the cargo area of Brussels Airport. NX Belgium is the first company to start operations at the renovated site, located in a key region of Europe for the pharmaceutical industry.
The new 10,000 m² warehouse includes 2,000 m² of temperature-controlled areas with storage modes of 2–8 °C and 15–25 °C. The facility is equipped with a modern security system and will soon receive TAPA-Level A certification. NX Belgium also expects to receive GDP certification by the end of the year. All office and operational functions of the company are now combined in this hub, which will increase the efficiency of serving pharmaceutical clients.
NX Belgium is actively developing pharma logistics: the company joined the international Pharma.Aero initiative and opened a new division in the healthcare sector in 2024. The new centre at Brucargo Central will be a key platform for further growth of logistics services in Europe.
