DP World opens first logistics facility in Singapore and expands presence in Asia Pacific.

DP World has opened its first logistics facility in Singapore, a 13,000 sq m multi-functional warehouse at Mapletree Benoi. The new hub is an important addition to the company’s infrastructure in the Asia Pacific region, where it already operates similar facilities in Incheon, South Korea and Hong Kong. In total, DP World manages more than 800,000 sq m of warehouse space in the region.

Glen Hilton, CEO & Managing Director for DP World in Asia Pacific, said: “Today’s news is another significant milestone for us in Singapore, following the setup of our regional APAC headquarters here back in 2021. This new addition will better fortify our offerings across the entire spectrum of logistics services, backed by our network of ports and terminals in the region. With these new facilities in Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea complementing the existing network of assets we manage, we are now better positioned than ever to deliver agile, efficient, and reliable logistics solutions. We will continue to make strategic investments in key markets to give the best possible service to our customers.”

DP World’s expansion in Asia Pacific continues through strategic acquisitions, including Singapore-based Legend Global Logistics, Savan Logistics and Cargo Services Far East. The company is also investing $50 million in the development of a new logistics center in the port of Busan (South Korea), which strengthens its position as a leading logistics partner in the region.
