Shipping company CLdN has announced the launch of a new weekly container service between the Belgian port of Zeebrugge and Ireland. From 10 May 2025, the 800 TEU M/V JSP Rover will operate between Albert II and the ports of Cork and Dublin, offering customers lift-on/lift-off (LoLo) services alongside its existing four weekly RoRo services on the same routes.
The new service is part of CLdN’s strategy to expand its LoLo services, which also includes building its own container ships for delivery from 2027. The company expects the addition of the LoLo option to enable a more efficient distribution of its RoRo fleet and offer flexible logistics solutions to customers whose cargo flows between Ireland and continental Europe continue to grow.
Since launching its first freight services to Ireland in 1999, CLdN has grown significantly in this area. Today, the company carries over 500,000 freight units per year and remains the largest ferry operator between Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.
