Danish company Safe Green Logistics A/S has introduced an innovative container transfer system (CTS) that enables fast and autonomous transfer of ISO containers from trucks to rail platforms without the use of cranes. The technology has already been integrated into the DB Cargo network in Denmark, enabling seamless transfer of goods between vehicles.
The first commercial shipment using CTS took place on the route from Aalborg to the DB Cargo terminal in Høje Taastrup (approx. 400 km). The switch to rail transport has reduced CO₂ emissions by 1.5 tonnes compared to truck transport. Safe Green Logistics and DB Cargo FLS plan to expand the use of this technology, strengthening rail logistics in Denmark and promoting environmentally friendly transport.
