Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) signed its first contract in 2025, becoming Hungary Airlines’ official ground handling partner. The airline launched scheduled cargo flights between Budapest and Hong Kong using an Airbus A330F with a capacity of 62 tons, strengthening trade ties between China and the EU.
Under the agreement, Hactl will provide terminal services, ground handling and documentation at the world’s largest air cargo hub. Budapest is rapidly developing as an e-commerce hub, and Hungary Airlines plans to expand its operations to the US and the Middle East as its fleet grows.
Hactl CEO Wilson Kwong noted that Hungary Airlines’ new flights expand the company’s global network. He emphasized that the carrier’s support for e-commerce is in line with Hactl’s strategic direction.
