JSC Kedentransservice and China Xinjiang commercial logistics (Group) Co. Ltd have agreed to establish a joint venture in Almaty. The new project envisages the construction of a modern logistics complex with an area of 500 hectares and a capacity of 350 thousand TEU per year. It will include a railway terminal, warehouse and multi-temperature zones, areas for vehicles, bulk cargo and grain storage facilities.
The project is expected to become a key element in the development of the transport and logistics infrastructure of Kazakhstan and China, strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the countries. The implementation of the initiative will also contribute to the development of large agglomerations in the region, creating additional business opportunities.
Earlier, on February 19, a meeting was held in Urumqi between the head of the board of JSC NC KTZ Nurlan Sauranbayev and the secretary of the party committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China Ma Xingrui. During the negotiations, an agreement was reached to invest 1 billion yuan in the construction of the Kazybek Bek transport and logistics complex in Kazakhstan.
