EFGL has chosen Euroports to operate a maintenance base at Port-La Nouvelle. This decision reinforces the port’s position as a key hub for renewable energy development in the Mediterranean. The new terminal will not only support the construction phase, but also provide long-term operation and maintenance (O&M) for the floating wind project.
“This agreement opens a new chapter in the development of Port-La Nouvelle as a hub for floating wind farms. We are not just building infrastructure, we are building a sustainable ecosystem for offshore wind in the region,” said Olivier RUTH, Managing Director of Euroports France.
The project is supported by OW Ocean Winds, Banque des Territoires, La Région Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée and the City of Port-La Nouvelle. The collaboration with EFGL is another step towards establishing the port as a key hub for offshore wind energy in the Mediterranean.
