In 2024, Singapore Changi Airport handled 1.99 million tonnes of air cargo, up 14.6% year-on-year. Growth was recorded in all segments — export, import and transit. The main drivers were the increased cargo flows between Singapore and China, as well as with the United States.

The increase in volumes was also influenced by the recovery of exports and re-exports of electronics from Singapore, high demand for cross-border e-commerce logistics and the switch of some cargo from sea transportation to air transport. The largest markets for Changi Airport include China, Australia, the United States, Hong Kong and India.

In 2024, two new cargo carriers joined the airport — Shandong Airlines, which also resumed passenger flights, and Air Incheon. In addition, two new cargo routes were launched linking Singapore with Haikou and Nagoya.
