On January 14, 2025, SF Airlines’ first cargo aircraft took off from Ezhou Huahu Airport in China to Oslo, launching a new route between Ezhou and Oslo. The flight was SF Airlines’ first destination in Norway and the first direct route from Ezhou to the country, said Eva Beate Lande, Director of Cargo at Norwegian carrier Avinor.
The new route will strengthen air cargo links between China and Norway, including express parcels, e-commerce products and export cargo such as Norwegian salmon for the Chinese market. Oslo Airport plays a key role in seafood export logistics, and China is the largest market for Norwegian fish in Asia and the fastest growing in the world.
Developing stable supply chains for perishable goods such as seafood is crucial to meeting the growing demand for Norwegian products in China.
