During his visit to the UAE, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Abu Dhabi Ports Group CEO Mohammed Al Shamisi. The parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation and the implementation of previously reached agreements in the field of transport and logistics projects.
Tokayev noted the importance of Abu Dhabi Ports’ plans to build large facilities, emphasizing their compliance with Kazakhstan’s strategic interests in developing port infrastructure in the Caspian Sea. The President emphasized the importance of transport infrastructure and transit corridors for the country’s economic growth and international trade.
Mohammed Al Shamisi expressed gratitude for the support of joint investment projects, including cooperation with the Samruk-Kazyna Fund and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.
