The largest container terminal in the Baltics, Baltic Hub, has summed up the results of 2024, which became significant due to record transshipment volumes and major investments. During the year, the terminal handled 2,242,401 TEU, exceeding the previous year’s figures. Of the 642 vessels handled, 147 were ocean-going, and in July, a record for single transshipment was set – 20,459 TEU.

The main stage of 2024 was the construction of the new T3 terminal. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in June, and in October, the first four of seven innovative STS cranes arrived at the terminal. The new semi-automated terminal with a deep water area and a container area of 36 hectares will increase the throughput capacity of Baltic Hub to 4.5 million TEU per year.

The company also strengthened the railway infrastructure by launching the fourth RMG crane, which increased the throughput capacity to 800,000 TEU. Baltic Hub continues to invest in sustainable development, implementing modern technologies and environmental solutions to remain an industry leader and respond to the challenges of international logistics.
