According to the results of 2024, the seaports of Ukraine handled almost 97 million tons of cargo, which is a record for wartime, the State Enterprise “Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine” (USPU) reports. Despite constant shelling and destruction of infrastructure, this figure significantly exceeds last year’s result of 62 million tons.

The state enterprise noted the decisive role of the Ukrainian Navy, which ensures the functioning of the Ukrainian corridor as a reliable sea route. Separately, the importance of the ports of the Danube cluster is noted, which, with the support of international partners, have become a key alternative for exports, especially in the field of food security.

For comparison, before the full-scale Russian invasion, port cargo turnover was 153.3 million tons in 2021 and 159.1 million tons in 2020. Despite difficult conditions, Ukrainian ports support the economy and international trade.
